Pier 51 Marina in the Press

Pier 51 Marina’s presence as a Keystone Lake, Oklahoma community staple goes back decades, almost to the time of the Keystone Dam’s completion in 1968. Pier 51’s General Manager, Sean Adair, is himself a lifelong Keystone Lake resident.

Over the years, the Keystone Lake recreational boating experience can be viewed through a visual timeline: Regional media coverage of Pier 51 Marina staff and visitors shows the character of a marina that’s been here for every moment.

General Manager Sean Adair hosts the News On 6 Oklahoma crew for a Keystone Lake tour

“We have 26,000 acres of water, 330 miles of shoreline, and some of the most beautiful sandy beaches.”

That was General Manager Sean Adair, describing Keystone Lake for the “Oklahoma’s Own Originals” segment on the Channel Six news. Sean showed them the cabins, the restaurant, and everything that makes Keystone Lake awesome – while giving them a ride on the golf cart, too.

Pier 51 Marina and 2 News Oklahoma recommend donating your leftover Christmas tree as lake habitat

When boaters toss their Christmas trees off the docks, it can create serious tangle hazards for divers. Tulsa District’s United States Army Corps of Engineers encouraged folks to donate their trees to their local office, and they used these trees to create new fish ecosystems at Fort Gibson Lake.

He was given 25 free boat rental passes, enough gas money to last the summer ($1,500), and maybe most importantly – the boat he rode on was named Laura, after his nurse.

"My friends and I rented a boat this weekend and it was a first time for all of us.. we showed up late we didn't have the right tubes or even an air pump, between the 7 of us we walked in and out of the shop a million times, borrowed trash bags, and probably came back being loud and obnoxious but the staff treated us kind the entire time and were so helpful! We will be back better prepared and I'll make everyone tip before we get on the boat instead of after."
